#Ms excel shortcut keys printable windows
We really liked that windows gives us multiple ways to perform the task in Excel, let’s say we want to save a file, either we can press the key Ctrl+S or Shift+F11. I have highlighted those shortcuts that are not well-known but useful enough that you may want to make note of them. Keyboard shortcuts in Excel are commonly accessed by using the ALT, Ctrl, Shift, Function key and Window key. Shortcut Keys - Moving and scrolling in a worksheet or workbook It runs for only a selected range as well as the entire worksheet. The use of these shortcuts should be second nature and almost always used in lieu of the Menu paths that perform the same actions. Inserts a new worksheet into the workbook. It has it's quirks though and I usually only use it if the formula is referring only to a single cell/cell range. Useful in auditing or just making sense of someone else's (or your own) madness, this will select cells that are directly referred to by formulas in the selection (active cell). I usually use this in combination with the SHIFT+SPACEBAR, which will highlight the row you want to use as the header of the filter.
This sequence of keys will access the Menu option for turning on/off the filter. Pulls up the 'Format Cells' dialog box as opposed to taking the Menu path. This is a little quicker than copying and pasting the entry. If multiple cells are selected, this will fill each cell of the selected range with the current entry (whatever you were typing/editing).
If one cell is selected, this will finish the editing/data entry but keep the cell as the active cell, as opposed to pressing ENTER which will activate the next cell.Ģ. These are the some of the shortcuts I use frequently.ġ.
